Stand by me

The movie "stand by me" is about a group of boys that have to experience something that makes them mature from young boys into men. In the beginning they are immature young boys that don't know what it is to be mature. Or Face something that can change them into maturing. Then they find out the body to one of there friends is dead, but hasn't been found. So they go on a journey to look for it. In the end they finally find the body dead, and many others tried to find it too but they were the winners to it first. From beginning to end it shows how young boys can mature into young man after one experience. The director of this movie wants the viewers to feel that one day your gonna have to grow and become a young adult. Also that there will come times and points in your life where you will mature as a person, you just need to be ready. In the beginning the boys are young and don't care about much. They depend on their parents and they horse around with each other often. To them there life was always a good time, with no worried. But having them never encounter something that can mature them they don't have mature minds. It would be fare to say they don't have a realistic side to them. But after finding this body they realize what happened to their friend, and turn into mature young men. I enjoyed this movie a lot. It shows how in life either boy or girl you will grow out that shell, and mature into a woman or man. I liked how they used the example of a dead body because after seening a dead body I think anyone can take something from that take and think of life differently. At the end the boys all move on with their lives and do good things. They didn't continue to be those goons they were when they were 12 Or 13 they matured as young men and saw a different side to life they had never seem before, but one day it would have came.

Romeo and Juliet

In book "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare these two Romeo and Juliet find love in a party but the two family's montages and capulets hate each other. They have had bad history together and never liked each other one bit. But the two hide each other from the family's and eventually meet and have plans to get married, but they both commit suicide because they want to get married and live a very happy life, but the situation with the family's prevent that and leads to both there deaths. People all have different perspectives of love, and it is no different in this play. Romeo finds love to be Good and great but then also tough and sad sometimes. Romeo before he meets Juliet has dreams to marry a girl but he does not because they can't get married. When Romeo meets Juliet he instantly falls In-love with Juliet and has the same ambitions and dreams to marry her. Romeo says love is hard and tough before he even meets Juliet. When considering the history between the two family's his point of love continues to be more valid. Romeo's good friend marcutio is Romeo's buddy always gives him advice, Romeo takes it but marcutio is the type of guy that doesn't care he is reckless, tough, and fearless of anything. He continuously tells Romeo love can be hard but if it's true peruse it. These two have different interpretations on love but they both show there perspectives of love in this play. In conclusion These two have there ways of handling love and they are both different but it's good to see because it's more to talk about if they are different. So far from learning marcutio and Romeo's perspective of love, love is a very serious topic of discussion for this book and one worth for duscussing.

Non fiction post # 2

The article "Crime and Puishment" by Patricia Smith is about a girl that is 15 years old, she gets drunk and is depressed about her Ex boyfriend leaving her. After all the drinks, she got a hold of a gun and got into a cab and shot the drivier in the head. She is 15 serving life without parole. Which means she gonna be in jail for ever and there is no way she will ever be released. The author wants me to feel that kids that commit crimes at that age doing crime like the should do life sentences without parole. The author wants me to feel that Kids doing crime at their young teenage years should serve life sentences. Teenagers if they commit grown People Crime they should get the adult punishment. These teens get offered rehab or mental places because they are often either crazy or high of some drug or depression. But I feel that these teens should serve the crime as an adult because this is a very serious situation so what ever punishment is needed they should get, If they comit crimes to this extreme like this young lady. I feel that teenagers should serve there teenage years in a juvenile correction facility until age 21, because the age group in state prison or federal prison is very different. Not everyone is the same age so letting the teenagers become grown adults first then sending them of the state prison is the right thing to do I believe, because they still reciveing some sort of punishment, it's not like they sit back and relaxed and have fun. Then after 21 send them of to real jail and let them serve the rest of their sentence there.

Response

The book "response" by Paul Valponi is about a boy that lives in a neighborhood that is racist towards black people. One part of the neiborhood is mostly black, and the other part is Italian. The Italian man do not like black people whatsoever. The neiborhood is separated because when they both come together something bad happens to either a black man or woman or a Italian man or woman. One way this book shows me it is racist towards black people and was written in the segergation era is when the three Italian men beat on the black man for being on the wrong side of the neighborhood. They beat on the black man so bad they hit him with a bat say very racial remarks about black people and then also rob the black man for his chain while he is on the ground. Another way the book shows it is racist towards black people is when the black kid and his two friends go inside the pizzeria there are two Italian men siting down and they look at the black people like they are no good, and they probably don't even deserve to sit down and eat pizza in that pizzeria. Even the thought of beating them up came across there mind but they didn't because they would have violated the store and there were police outside. Those two pieces of evidenced show me that this book is racist towards black people. In my opioion I feel racism shouldn't happen. People have different skin color than another group of people but that doesn't make them any better or worst than another group of people, then beating someone down because they are a certain race and they in your neiborhood it isn't worth it because, not only that person gets beat down and they feel bad, he or she has to go back to his family and I'm sure any family member wouldn't want nothing to happen to another one over racial hate. Overall some people might have a different history than another and the skin color might be different but that doesn't give anyone the right to hate one and other because of skin color. We are all the same in a way, everyone should be treated that way.

Blog on song "No easy way out".

The song "There is no easy way out" by Robert Tepper is a a song that is famous rock and roll song. It is used in the one the rocky films and that's how I found it. I don't consider it one of my favorite songs. I like rap and hip hop, ,and R&B music but I've heard this song, and if you listen to the words I think the message actually does mean something. Rocky is about to fight one of the biggest fight in his life. I forget who it is but I know it was one of his toughest fights yet. He is very nervous while preparing for the fight and it is pretty obvious. But while rocky is driving in his car and he think about ever thing this song comes on. I believe it comes on because he is nervous and probably doesn't wanna fight this guy. The song I think means you can't be nervous, and you shouldn't back down. You shouldn't be scared of the situation if you are already in it. That's why the name of the song is "There's no easy way out", and there wasn't it was a tough fight but rocky still had to fight. To me I Kind liked this song because every song has a message (most of them) and I felt like this one was strong. When you are in a situation yeah you could be nervous or scared but never back down. The message sort of can relate to face your fears and overcome them also. And most people don't face there fears and they run away from them but they shouldn't because the end result wont be good and if you never face your fears one day, they will haunt you forever and you'll never get away from them.

In the two articles I read "Is football dangerous?" by Buzz Bissinger and Scott Hallenbeck these two men both feel different about the game of football. Buzz feels that football IS in fact dangerous. He feels that way because of CTE: A brain disease that you can get from numerous amounts of conclusions. Scott on the other hand feels that football isn't that dangerous. He says this because girls hockey has the highest concussion rate of any sport. Buzz wants his readers to feel football is very dangerous. He shows this by using the brain disease CTE, and he also says that he will never let his son play football because it is "Simply to dangerous." Scott Hallenbeck wants his readers to feel football isn't as dangerous as Buzz makes it sound. He feels this by saying "Concussions are prone to happen in any sport children participate in." (which is true) and also showing that the percentage and number of concussion suffered in girls hockey is higher and greater than football. In my opioion I do know that football is a dangerous sport, but I support hallenbaeck's arugment. When playing any sport everyone should be reminded you can get a concussion. And now knowing that girls hockey concussion rate is higher than any sport, that proves that football isn't the most dangerous sport.

In the article "is football is just to dangerous" there is an debate showing each side of what people think about football, Being just to dangerous or not as dangerous as others can make it seem. The author I believe wants to show the reader how people can have a different opinion on one thing. Some People would say yes some people would say no. In this case the topic is football. This arictle to me makes me feel like author wants to prove a point but he used people's opinion to say its, cause everyone's opinion is different not the same. The author was smart by doing this because he made people sit down and really consider what he was trying to ask; is football just too dangerous. He also used stats to show reasons why people would say it is dangerous and then he used reasons why people can compare other sports and think differently. I felt like that was a great tool to use cause then people could have at least one reason to back up what they think about the topic. In my opinion this was a great article to read! I learned new things like the brain dissorders football can leave you. I also learned how girls hockey has the most conclusion rate of any sport. Which is hard to believe but true. Hockey is also very dangerous to, people comapare that to football and say maybe football isn't as bad as people say. Then the others that feel football is too dangerous and look at the brain dissorders you can get from football and say that football is the most dangerous sport we have today.
